Community Orchard

Community Orchard
Community Orchard is the engine that drives all of the volunteer activities of ProduceGood and it takes a lot to keep this engine growing and strong. Our ability to rescue food each week and to maintain our fresh-only food supply network is directly attributable to a growing number–now over 600– of individuals throughout the county who volunteer to rescue unwanted produce, move it from field or market to table and inform others about the necessity of this process. ProduceGood brings the community together to address the community related challenges of waste and hunger in one sweet step.

Harvest Heroes, recognizes our volunteers for their contributions as and includes opportunities to help us improve our organization through participation as part of our advisory group or through speaking out in the community as part of our Speakers Bureau (emerging this year). If you are looking to connect with like-minded individuals and you want to bring attention to the necessity of environmental stewardship and/or feeding, then become a part of our Community Orchard volunteer program. If you have experience in volunteer coordination or would like to play a role in activities planned to recruit, retain and schedule volunteers, we would love to have you join our team.

Our volunteer service engine is at the heart of our practice. Come and join us!
